Vape Pods
Vape Pods for Every Pod Kit Style
Pod kits come in a few different shapes, and the pods themselves vary just as much. Some click in magnetically, some push-fit, some are sealed disposables and some let you swap the coil out separately. The right pod depends entirely on the device sitting in your pocket, so step one is always working out what your kit takes.
If you're still choosing the kit itself, have a look at prefilled pod kits for the low-effort option, or refillable pod kits if you want more flavour choice. New to vaping altogether? Start with vape starter kits.
Prefilled vs Refillable Vape Pods
The split is simple. Prefilled pods arrive sealed with e-liquid already inside: pop one in, vape it, bin it, replace. Refillable pods are empty shells you fill yourself with the e-liquid of your choice, and you keep the pod going by swapping coils or refilling until performance drops off.
Prefilled wins on convenience and consistency. Refillable wins on running cost, flavour range and nicotine strength options. Neither is better overall, it just depends how much faff you're willing to put up with for cheaper vaping.
Choosing Compatible Replacement Pods
Pods are not universal. A pod designed for one device will not fit another, even from the same brand in some cases. Before ordering replacements, check three things: the exact device name, the pod model number (usually printed on the pod or box), and the coil resistance if it's a refillable with swappable coils.
If you've still got the original packaging or an empty pod to hand, that's your easiest reference. Match the name and the resistance and you're sorted.
Vape Pods by Brand Range
Each pod range below collects the replacement pods made for that brand's devices. These are pod listings, not full brand catalogues.
- Lost Mary pods: prefilled pods for the Lost Mary refillable range.
- Hayati pods: replacement pods for Hayati big puff devices.
- OXVA pods: refillable pods and coils for OXVA Xlim and similar kits.
- Vaporesso pods: pods for the Vaporesso Xros and other pod systems.
Coils, Resistance and E-Liquid Compatibility
On refillable pods, the coil inside does most of the work. Coil resistance is measured in ohms, and lower resistance (like 0.4ohm) gives bigger clouds and warmer vape, while higher resistance (0.8ohm and up) gives a tighter draw and uses less liquid. Most pod kits sit in the 0.6 to 1.0ohm range and pair best with nic salts.
Stick to 50/50 or higher PG e-liquids and nic salts for pod systems. High-VG shortfills are too thick for most pods and will starve the coil, leading to a burnt taste fast.
Comparison: Prefilled vs Refillable Pods
| Feature | Prefilled Pods | Refillable Pods |
|---|---|---|
| Setup | Click in and vape | Fill with e-liquid first |
| Flavour choice | Limited to what's sold | Any compatible e-liquid |
| Nicotine strength | Usually 10mg or 20mg | Whatever you buy |
| Running cost | Higher per ml | Lower per ml |
| Maintenance | None, just replace | Refill and swap coils |
| Best for | Convenience-first vapers | Flavour chasers and budget-conscious vapers |
How to Make Vape Pods Last Longer
A few habits stretch the life of any pod. Prime new coils by letting the pod sit for five minutes after filling, so the wick soaks up properly. Don't chain-vape: short, steady pulls let the coil cool between hits. Keep your device upright when not in use to stop liquid pooling near the airflow.
Sweet, dark or heavily sweetened e-liquids gunk coils up faster than fruit or menthol flavours. If you're getting through pods too quickly, switching to a lighter flavour profile often doubles their lifespan.
